Bike Glendhu is a pedal-powered mountain bike park situated on Glendhu Station, just 300m up Motatapu Road from Glendhu Bay.

It’s the brain-child of station owner, John McRae, and John Wilson, a local corporate come health and wellness expert with a love of mountain biking. The two met at a wedding at Glendhu Station and a friendship was born out of a common passion for biking, the environment and sharing this incredible hill – which you can see up behind the woolshed.

Bike Glendhu consists of 35 km of trails – a range of green, blue and black; family riding, beginner and intermediate flow, advanced technical descents and a 1.6km 60+ feature jumpline. With a consent for much more than that, building is set to continue over the coming years.

The park is created in a loop style and boasts a 22 km trail that gently loops around the back of the hill for incredible 360 degree views out towards Mahu Whenua, Treble Cone, up the Matukituki and out over Glendhu Bay.

Our off-the-grid base area houses a ticketing & retail space, bike rentals (including e-MTBs), a café with plenty of outdoor seating, a kids mini-pump track and a skills it really is the perfect day out for all levels of rider.
